【브레이크뉴스 대구】박은정 기자=한국전력(대표이사 사장 정승일)은 '구미 저탄소 대표모델 산단 지정 기념식'을 개최했다고 7일 밝혔다.
이번 행사는 지난 11월 정부에서 발표한 ‘산업단지 혁신 종합대책’의 일환으로, 산업단지의 저탄소 전환을 위한 민간과 공공부문의 연대와 협력을 강화하기 위해 마련됐다.
구미 국가산업단지에 신재생 클러스터를 구축해 RE100 기업이 활용할 수 있도록 친환경 에너지 생태계를 조성할 계획이며, 이를 위해 정부-지자체-민간 업무협력을 위한 MOU를 체결했다.
한전은 올해 구미 국가산업단지 '에너지 자급자족 인프라 구축 및 운영 사업'의 주관기업으로 선정되었으며 오는 2024년까지 신재생 기반 마이크로그리드(MG) 표준모델을 구축할 예정이다.
또 글로벌 산업환경 변화에 대응해 전기를 사용하는 장소에서 깨끗하게 생산하고, 스마트하게 소비하는 시스템을 만들어 산업 전반에서의 탄소 저감을 견인하고자 한다.
특히 구미에 선도적으로 표준모델을 만들어 적용하고, 구축에서 운영까지 전 과정을 모범사례로 만들어 전국적인 확산 기반을 마련할 계획이다.
정승일 한전 사장은 기념사에서 “저탄소 대표모델 산업단지를 모범적으로 구축함으로써, 대한민국 제조업의 핵심 거점인 산업단지가 더욱 혁신적이고, 역동적인 산업 공간으로 변화되는 계기가 될 수 있도록 정부, 지방자치단체, 민간의 연대와 협력을 바란다”고 밝혔다.

In addition, in response to changes in the global industrial environment, it aims to lead carbon reduction throughout the industry by creating a system that produces cleanly and consumes smartly in places where electricity is used.
In particular, it plans to take the lead in creating and applying a standard model in Gumi, and setting the foundation for nationwide expansion by making the entire process from construction to operation a model case.
In his commemorative address, KEPCO President Seung-il Jeong said, “By building a representative low-carbon model industrial complex as an example, the central government, local governments, and the private sector will be able to transform the industrial complex, which is the core base of Korea’s manufacturing industry, into a more innovative and dynamic industrial space. We look forward to solidarity and cooperation.”
