【브레이크뉴스 대구 】박은정 기자=대구시는 제야의 타종행사를 오는 31일 밤 10시부터 국채보상운동기념공원 달구벌대종 앞 특설무대에서 개최한다고 29일 밝혔다.

3년 만에 인원 제한이 없는 대면으로 진행되는 이번 행사는 대구 미래 50년을 향한 재도약의 의미를 담은 ‘새로운 열림, 우리의 드림’이라는 슬로건으로 진행된다.

타종 인사로는 '올해를 빛낸 자랑스러운 시민' 등 33명이 참여하며 타종 후 홍준표 대구시장의 신년사와 시민들과 함께하는 ‘대구찬가’ 합창 및 멀티미디어 불꽃쇼가 펼쳐진다.

또 지역에서 활동하는 예술단체들의 스트릿 댄스, 퓨전국악 및 뮤지컬 공연, 대북 퍼포먼스로 행사장을 찾은 시민들에게 즐거움을 선사할 예정이다. 

대구시는 많은 인파가 모일 것으로 예상되는 만큼 안전관리에도 철저히 대비한다는 방침이다. 

교통통제 및 안전관리를 위해 경찰‧공무원 등 500여 명의 인력을 배치하고, DJ폴리스, 안전펜스 설치, 현장 구급반을 운영해 행사 당일 발생할 수 있는 안전사고를 사전에 예방한다. 

한편, 행사장 인근을 통과하는 급행 5개 노선에 대해 막차가 새벽 1시경에 시내를 통과하도록 하고 도시철도는 시내인근 역인 반월당역(1·2호선)과 명덕역(1·3호선)을 새벽 1시 30분 전후로 통과하도록 연장 운행해, 시민들의 안전한 귀가를 돕도록 할 방침이다.
