【브레이크뉴스 대구 】박은정 기자=  대구시는 오는 13일 자율주행 기술 동향과 경쟁력 강화방안 등을 주제로 ‘2023년 대구 자율주행 선도도시 포럼’을 개최한다고 밝혔다.

이번 포럼은 국제표준화기구(ISO) 문영준 이사의 ‘미래모빌리티 국내외 동향 및 대응방향’ 에 대한 발표를 시작으로 ‘자율주행차 기술개발 현황과 법제의 국제 동향’ 등에 대한 발표와 함께 관련 기업 및 연구기관, 대학 등 50여 명의 패널토의가 진행될 예정이다.

대구시는 포럼을 통해 그동안 추진해온 자율주행 관련 연구개발 및 실증기반 사업들을 돌아보고, 전국 최고 수준으로 구축한 실증 장비를 활용하게 될 기업들의 의견을 청취한다.

또 자율주행 기술개발 지원을 통한 자율주행 중심도시로의 도약 방안 등에 대해서도 관련 기업과 연구기관, 대학 등과 함께 심도 있는 논의를 해 나갈 계획이다.

현재 대구시에서는 자율주행차의 시민 서비스 체험을 위해 설화명곡역에서 테크노폴리스·국가산단(17.1㎢, 22.6km) 구간에 자율주행 자동차 시범운행지구로 지정하여 승객수요 기반 자율주행 모빌리티 서비스를 제공하고 있다.

특히 시민들에게 친숙한 ‘카카오 T’를 통해 차량 호출이 가능한, ‘달구벌자율차’ 모빌리티 서비스는 무인 자율형태 레벨4 수준의 자율차로 지난해부터 올해까지 무상으로 제공함으로써 시민들로부터 큰 호응을 얻고 있다.
