【브레이크뉴스 대구 】박은정 기자=대구시와 광주시가 대한체육회에 ‘2038하계아시안게임 개최계획서’를 제출하며 유치신청도시 선정절차에 돌입했다고 29일 밝혔다.
대구·광주시와 양(兩)체육회는 지난 2월 중순 양(兩)도시 의회에서 국제대회 유치의 첫 관문인 동의안이 통과됐다.
이에 사전타당성 조사결과를 바탕으로 국제대회개최 기본계획서를 준비해 대한체육회에 유치희망도시 시설물 사용허가서, 공동유치 업무협약 등을 함께 제출했다.
앞으로 대한체육회에서 진행되는 선정절차는 유치희망도시에 대해 2차례의 현지조사, 경기분야 이외의 숙박, 교통, 환경 등을 종합적으로 평가한 후에 이사회와 대의원 총회를 거쳐 국내유치도시로 선정하게 된다.
이후 문화체육관광부와 기획재정부의 승인 절차를 거쳐, 2024년 하반기 즈음에 OCA(Olympic Council of Asis)로 공동 유치의향서를 제출할 계획이며 OCA에서는 유치의향서를 제출한 도시를 대상으로 심의를 거쳐 최종 개최도시를 확정하게 된다.
