420장애인차별철폐대구투쟁연대(420장애인연대)은 18일 오전 11시 대구시청 앞에서 기자회견을 열고 장애인 권리보장 정책을 요구하며 도심행진과 지하철 캠페인에 나섰다.

오는 4월 20일은 국가가 지정한 법정 기념일인 장애인의 날으로 420대구장차연는 장애인의 날이 하루 기념하는 날이 아닌 장애인 평등을 위한 날이 돼야 한다며 장애인차별철폐의 날로 부르고있다.

이날 단체는“장애인을 동정과 시혜의 관점으로 바라보는 시선이 우리 사회 전반에 걸친 구조적 차별을 만들었다“며 “올해 지속적으로 발생한 장애인 거주시설 즉각 폐쇄와 지역사회에서 함께 살아갈 권리 보장"을 촉구했다.

단체는 대구시와 8개구군을 대상으로 장애인 활동지원서비스 강화, 중증·발달장애인의 주거지원 서비스 제도화, 지원주택 조례 제정, 중증장애인 공공일자리 제도화, 탈시설 자립생활 지원체계 강화, 인권침해 거주시설 폐쇄, 특별교통수단 확대 등 7가지 정책을 요구했다.
