이와 함께 최근 화두에 오른 국회의원 불체포특권에 대해서는 “과거 권위주의 정부로부터 입법부와 군소 야당을 보호하기 위해 만들어진 낡은 헌법 조항이므로 여야 없이 당론으로 폐지를 추진해야 한다”고 주장했다.
도 예비후보는 “국민을 위한 정치, 국민이 원하는 정치를 위해 국민의힘부터 과감한 혁신이 필요하다”며 “제가 국회의원에 당선되면 저부터 이 약속들을 지키겠다는 서약문을 썼다”고 말했다.
