오창균 예비후보는 정치와 정책에 대한 견해를 담은 저서 ‘철학없는 정치는 사기다’ 출판기념회를 5일 오후 3시 수성구 라온제나호텔 5층에서 개최한다고 전했다.

그는 “책에 고향 경북 영양과 서울 생활, 학창 시절과 미국 유학, 연구원 생활 등 삶의 궤적을 기록했다”며 “특히 3장 ‘수성단상’에서 수성구에 대한 정책 비전을 상세히 소개하고 있다”고 설명했다. 

오 예비후보는 “수성구가 대구의 중심도시로서 위상을 유지하고 더 크게 발전하기 위해서는 경제·교육·주거·문화 등 수성구가 가진 강점을 더 강하게 해야 하며 이를 위해 기능 고도화와 공간구조 혁신이 시급하다”는 의견을 제시했다. 

이와 함께 고산·연호권 수성 신도시, 범어·만촌·황금권 교육경제도시 구축과 재개발·재건축, 금호강 양안 초연결도시를 위한 교통망 조성 등에 대한 입장을 밝히기도 했다.

오 예비후보는 “정치인은 정치시장에 나온 상품으로 잘 팔리기 위해선 확실한 브랜드를 갖고 있어야 한다”며 “제가 가진 정책 전문성으로 그 동안 나름대로 관찰하고 고민한 정치를 통해 좀 더 큰 시각에서 제도를 만들고 국가와 지역, 시민을 위해 도움되는 일에 헌신하겠다”고 밝혔다. 

오창균 예비후보는 대구·경북 대표 연구기관인 대구경북연구원에서 원장으로 퇴임했으며 연구원 최초로 내부 승진으로 원장에 오른 정책전문가이다. 연구 활동의 성과로 대구·경북 및 국가발전에 기여해 왔으며 정책능력을 인정받아 18대 대통령직인수위원회와 20대 대통령직인수위원회 대통령취임준비위원회에서 활동하기도 했다.
