지난 7일 수성구선거관리위원회에 제22대 국회의원 선거 예비후보로 등록한 주 의원은 “수성구와 대구경북, 대한민국의 발전을 위해 반드시 승리하겠다”는 포부를 밝혔다.

수성갑 국회의원인 주 의원은 21대 국민의힘 비대위원장과 원내대표를 2번 역임했으며, 현재 국회 연금개혁특위 위원장을 맡고 있다.

그는 “5선을 하는 동안 주호영이 무슨 일을 했는지, 특히 지난 4년간 수성갑에서 이전 국회의원들이 제대로 해결하지 못했던 현안들을 얼마나 잘 해결했는지 확인해 주시기 바란다”고 강조했다.

수성을에서 내리 4선에 성공한 주 의원은 지난 21대 총선에서 지역구를 수성갑으로 옮겨 당선되었다.

그는 대구경북통합신공항특별법 통과, 투기과열지구지정 해제, 조정대상지역 해제, 수성·범어·만촌 1종 일반주거지역 종상향, 수성구 군부대 이전 MOU 체결, ‘범안삼거리-황금동’ 직선도로 국토부 대도시권사업 반영 및 기재부 예타대상 선정, 수성알파시티 과기부 디지털혁신거점 시범사업 지정, 노후계획도시특별법 대상에 시지·노변 지구 포함 등을 언급했다.

그러면서 “지난 4년간 수성갑에서 시작한 사업들 대부분이 대형사업으로 경륜과 실력 없이 마무리하기 어려운만큼 제가 꼭 마무리까지 하고싶다”며 지지를 호소했다.
