24일 오전 11시 대구지법 제1행정부는 대구퀴어문화축제 조직위원회가 대구 중부경찰서를 상대로 낸 ‘집회 제한 통고 처분 집행 정지신청’ 심문을 비공개로 진행했다.

앞서 경찰은 대중교통전용지구 중앙로네거리∼반월당네거리 왕복 2개 차로 가운데 1개 차로에서만 집회를 열 수 있다는 내용을 대구퀴어문화축제 조직위에 통고했다.

이에 조직위가 지난 19일 대구 중부경찰서장을 상대로 옥외집회 금지 통고처분 취소 집행정지 신청을 내면서 법정공방이 벌어졌다.

축제가 28일 예정 된 가운데 법원은 26일까지 개최여부와 허용 규모 등에 대한 결정을 내리기로 했다.

조직위 측은 “법원이 집회 제한 통고 처분 정지신청을 기각한다고 해도 축제를 포기하지는 않을 것이다”며 “장소 역시 대중교통전용지구를 떠나지 않는다”고 밝혔다.

같은 날 오후 동성로 상인회 등 퀴어 축제 반대 측에서 제기한 집회금지가처분 신청에 대한 법원 판단도 26일 나올 것으로 예상된다.
