이 의원은 “대구시가 기본계획과 오수·우수 분류화 사업을 추진하고 있지만, 시민들이 체감할 만한 성과는 없다”며 “북구 팔거천, 반포천, 동화천만 봐도 장마철마다 오수가 유입돼 악취와 날파리로 주민 불편이 반복되고 있다”고 지적했다.
이어 그는 실질적인 대책으로 △우선 정비 대상 지역 선정 및 목표 연도 단축 △단기 저류·배수 시설 도입 검토 △집중호우 전 점검 체계 강화 등을 제안했다.
이 의원은 “매년 거세지는 폭우와 잦은 침수 피해, 하천 오수 유입으로 인한 악취 문제는 시민의 안전과 삶의 질을 위협하고 있다”며 “대구시가 책임 있는 행정으로 근본적인 대책을 마련해야 한다”고 강조했다.

Councilmember Lee emphasized, "The increasingly heavy rains, frequent flooding, and foul odors caused by sewage inflow into rivers are threatening the safety and quality of life of citizens. Daegu City must establish fundamental measures through responsible administration."
