경상북도는 올해 광역 지방정부 최초로 규제혁신과 기업 지원 기능을 통합한 ‘기업규제 현장지원단’을 출범시켰다. 현장지원단은 기업 경영활동을 저해하는 규제를 현장에서 발굴·해소하는 체계로, 출범 초기부터 지역 상공회의소와 협력해 운영됐다.

현장과 행정 경험을 갖춘 전문위원 5명이 도내 91개 기업을 직접 방문했고, 기업 간담회 5회 개최와 온라인 소통채널 상시 접수를 통해 총 165건의 규제·애로 사항을 발굴했다. 특히 경제부지사가 직접 현장을 찾아 즉문즉답 방식으로 해결책을 제시하는 등 지휘부의 역할을 대폭 강화한 점이 특징이다.

지역활성화 투자펀드 1호 사업인 구미 근로자기숙사 사업은 착공과 함께 도 출자를 완료했으며, 구미 문화산단 사업과 연계한 비즈니스호텔 유치로 노후산단 도시재생의 모범사례로 기대를 모으고 있다.
