이철우 후보는“윤석열 대통령이 우리 국민은 어느 곳에 살던 균등한 기회를 누릴 수 있는 지방시대를 약속했다”면서“이를 근간으로 경상북도를 기회의 땅으로 만들어 지방시대를 선도해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

이 후보는“이제 경북에는 지난 4년 보다 더 강한 변화의 새바람, 도민 맞춤형 정책, 더 강력한 혁신 도정을 만들어야 한다”며, “4차 산업혁명 시대에 어울리는 시대적인 요구, 도민들의 다양한 기대를 정책에 담아내고 이를 꼭 실천하겠다”고 강조했다. 

‘기업이 태동하고 성장할 기회의 땅’분야공약에서 이 후보는 “좋은 일자리를 만드는 것은 바로 민간 경제이고, 민간 경제의 중심은 무엇보다 기업”이라며, “1인 기업부터 스타트업, 벤처기업, 중소기업, 대기업까지 경상북도에서 성장할 수 있는 기회를 만들겠다”고 말했다. 

이 후보는 기업이 대통하고 성장할 기회를 만들기 위해 ▲강력한 과학기술 진흥으로 기업 혁신 추진, ▲규제혁신 강화와 벤처생태계 활성화, ▲미래차 소·부·장 산업의 중심지 추진, ▲글로벌 바이오산업 거점 추진, ▲4차 산업혁명 주도할 경북형 네트워크 구축 등을 공약으로 내세웠다. 

이 후보는 과학기술 진흥으로 기업혁신을 위해“기업의 4차산업혁명과 디지털 전환을 지원할 수 있는 초거대 인공지능 클라우드팜, 메타버스 산업단지, XR 융합산업 생태계를 조성해 기업이 성장하고 일자리가 창출되도록 하겠다”고 밝혔다. 벤처생태계 활성화를 위해“벤처금융과 엔젤투자를 지방으로 확대시키고 기업과 대학이 중심이 되는 벤처밸리 확대를 추진하겠다”고 공약했다. 

경북의 자동차부품산업은 전국 3위권으로 1,414개의 업체와 3만6천여 명의 근로자와 연간 13조 8천억원의 매출을 올리고 있는 자동차 부품산업의 중심지다. 이를 감안해 이 후보는“기업들이 자율주행차, 전기차, 수소차 등에 적합한 부품 등을 생산 할 수 있도록 기술 실증지원 플랫폼을 구축하고, 베어링 특화단지 조성을 통해 경북을 미래차 소재·부품·장비 산업의 메카로 만들겠다”고 밝혔다. 

이어,“안동을 글로벌 바이오생명산업의 메카로 만들겠다”고 밝힌 이 후보는 “첨단기술이 융합된 혁신신약 클러스터를 조성하고 연구중심대학을 설립하여 의사과학자를 양성하여 글로벌 바이오산업 거점을 추진하겠다”고 공약했다. 

이 후보는“과학산업 분야를 전담할 기관을 설치해‘디지털 플랫폼 정부’에 대응하는‘디지털 플랫폼 경상북도’를 만들고, ‘연구중심 혁신도정’을 강화하여 4차사업혁명 시대를 주도할 ‘경북형 혁신네트워크’를 구축하겠다”고 약속했다.  

이 후보는“윤석열 정부의 국정 운영을 뒷받침하면서 경북 발전 공약을 실천하는데 앞장서겠다”며 “50년, 100년을 내다보는 비전으로 경북을 대한민국의 중심으로 복원시키는데 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
