【브레이크뉴스 대구】박은정 기자=대구 동구(구청장 윤석준)는 오는 24일  ‘공항후적지, 미래모빌리티와 첨단산업이 융합된 스마트 도시!’를 주제로 전문가 정책토론회를 개최한다고 20일 밝혔다.

토론회는 주제발표, 토론, 질의응답 순서로 진행된다.

주제발표는 김남용 대구 동구청 미래정책실장과 송교원 국민대 미래모빌리티학과 교수가 맡는다. 

김남용 실장은 대구경북통합신공항 건설과 공항후적지 개발사업 추진경과에 대해 설명을 할 예정이며, 특히 지난 9월 동구청에서 자체 여론조사 전문기관에 위탁한 공항후적지 개발에 대한 주민설문조사 결과도 발표한다.

송 교수는 ‘미래모빌리티 선도도시 대구, UAM 도입 필요성과 정책방향’이라는 주제로 UAM 산업 시장전망과 글로벌 트랜드, 전국 지자체 동향, 공항후적지가 가진 UAM 특화도시가 될 수 있는 최적의 입지로서의 조건 등에 대해 발표한다.

전문가 토론에서는 황기연 전(前) 한국교통연구원장이 좌장을 맡으며, 김현덕 경북대 전자공학부 교수, 전정규 한화시스템 UAM 사업전략팀장, 한근수 대구경북연구원 연구위원, 이석주 한국교통연구원 연구위원이 패널로 참여한다. 

도심항공교통(UAM), 자율주행, 스마트 물류, 이동서비스 등 글로벌 핵심 성장 동력으로 중요성이 커지고 있는 모빌리티 인프라를 공항후적지 개발의 계획 단계부터 반영할 필요성에 대해 이야기 할 예정이다.

윤석준 동구청장은 “공항후적지 개발에 있어 주민들의 소중한 의견을 들어보는 자리다. 210만 평의 공항후적지를 비롯해 인접지역이 미래모빌리티 인프라를 바탕으로 한 글로벌 관광·상업·첨단산업지구가 조성된다면 동구를 넘어 대구·경북 전체에 새로운 성장거점이 마련될 것이라고 확신한다. 토론회를 계기로 공항후적지 개발에 차질이 없도록 하겠다”고 밝혔다.
