이번 행사에는 군의원, 기관‧사회단체장, 한국자유총연맹 달성군지회원 등 120명이 참석한 가운데 2022년 성과보고 및 2023년 사업계획 발표, 우수회원 표창, 대회사 및 격려사 순으로 진행됐다.
이날 곽진섭 지회장은‘세계 자유 민주연맹 봉사장’을 수상했다. 세계 자유 민주연맹 봉사장은 정의‧자유‧평화를 수호하기 위해 창립된 세계자유민주연맹에서 매년 자유민주주의의 가치창달에 기여한 인물 1인에게 수여하는 명예로운 훈장이다.
곽진섭 지회장은“하나 된 대한민국을 수호하고 발전시키는데 앞장서주신 회원들의 노고에 깊이 감사드리고 이번 봉사장은 자유민주주의를 위해 헌신하라는 의미라 생각해 더욱 봉사하겠다.”고 밝혔다.
