3일, 대구대 산학협력단(단장 원희철)에 따르면 최근 고용노동부가 주최하고 한국사회적기업진흥원이 주관한 ‘2023년 사회적기업가 육성사업’ 창업지원기관에 선정되는 쾌거를 이루며 대구·경북지역을 대표하는 사회적 기업 육성 기관으로 자리매김했다.

사회적기업가 육성사업은 혁신적인 사회적기업 창업 아이디어를 가지고 사회문제를 해결해 나가는 (예비)사회적 기업가를 발굴하기 위해 ▶창업 공간 ▶창업 자금 ▶1:1멘토링 ▶역량강화교육 등 창업에 필요한 전 과정을 지원하는 사업이다.

지난 10년간 대구대는 창업 인프라와 노하우, 인적‧물적 네트워크를 바탕으로 총 244개의 창업 팀을 육성하였으며 특히 창업 기업의 성장 단계에 맞춘 ONE-STOP 사회적경제기업 인큐베이팅 플랫폼을 운영해 창업 팀에게 맞춤형 지원을 실시해왔다.

이를 통해 2023년 1월 기준으로 48개 팀이 예비사회적기업에 지정됐고, 52개 팀이 사회적기업으로 인증받아 인‧지정률 41%를 기록하는 우수한 성과를 거두면서 올해도 대구대는 사회적기업가 육성사업의 창업지원기관으로 선정되었다고 밝혔다.

대구대 산학협력단은 올해 약 12억 원의 국고를 지원받아 창업팀 성장 단계와 수준에 맞는 맞춤형 지원에 나설 예정으로 이를 위해 올해 1월 2023년 신규 초기 창업팀을 모집하기 위해 온·오프라인 사업설명회를 진행한다. 

원희철 대구대 산학협력단장은 “지난 10년간 사회적기업가 육성사업을 수행했던 경험과 노하우, 사업수행 역량을 바탕으로 신규 창업팀들이 올바른 사회적기업가 정신과 확고한 수익모델을 갖춘 기업으로 성장할 수 있도록 맞춤형 지원에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
