【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=영진전문대학교가 24일 제7기 공군RNTC 임관식을 개최했다고 24일 밝혔다. 

영진전문대 글로벌캠퍼스 국제세미나실에서 열린 임관식은 영진전문대학교 최재영 총장, 교수 및 학군단 관계자와 함께 코로나19 완화 조치에 따라 3년 만에 학부모 및 외부 인사를 초청한 가운데 진행되었다.

유재문(소장) 공군 교육사령관 주관으로 거행된 이번 임관식에서는 상장 수여, 임관사령장 및 계급장 수여, 사령관 훈시, 최재영 총장 축사가 이어졌다.

이날 임관한 7기 후보생 34명(남 30명, 여 4명)은 지난 3학기 동안 하·동계 방학에 공군 교육사령부(진주소재)에 입영해 9주간의 기본군사 훈련과 학기 중 군사학과 항공정비학 등의 전공과목을 이수했다. 특히 정비 일선부대에서 실무 경험을 가짐으로써 공군 최고의 항공정비 인재로 성장해 나갈 전문성을 높였다.

이날 임관식에서는 배하영 하사가 공군참모총장상, 문동환 하사 공군교육사령관상, 음세훈 하사 공군기본군사훈련단장상, 민경수 하사 학군단장상을 수상했다.

영예의 공군참모총장상을 수상한 배하영 하사는 “나라를 지키는 일이야말로 평생 자부심을 가질 수 있기에 부사관 길을 선택했고 배우고 익힌 지식을 토대로 앞으로 영공방위 수호를 위한 임무를 완수하는 데 최선을 다할 것이다.”라며 각오를 밝혔다.

도전부문 핵심가치상을 받은 최정우 하사는 “조종 장교로 근무하고 계신 아버지와 함께 공군에서 대한민국 영공을 수호할 수 있게 돼 대단한 영광”이라며 “앞으로 주어진 임무는 반드시 완수하는 공군 부사관이 되겠다.”고 전했다.

최재영 총장은 축사에서“임관하면 생각지도 못했던 많은 어려움이 있겠지만 ‘역풍장범’의 자세로 이를 떨쳐내고 숭고한 사명과 열정 가득한 진정한 군인, 멋진 공군으로 거듭날 것”을 당부했다.
