【브레이크뉴스 대구】박은정 기자=재단법인 서구인재육성재단(이사장 류한국)은 오는 24일까지 74명의 장학생을 모집한다고 밝혔다.
서구인재육성재단은 1991년 설립된 서구장학회로부터 이어지며 매년 장학사업을 수행하고 있다. 서구의 교육여건 개선과 지역인재 육성을 위해 기금을 조성하여 지금까지 2,017명의 인재들에게 14억 5천만원의 장학금을 지원했다.
7일, 재단에 따르면 진학, 성적우수, 특기 장학생은 학교장 또는 학장(총장)의 추천으로 신청가능하며, 희망 장학생은 주소지 동장의 추천을 받아 주소지 동 행정복지센터로 신청하면 된다. 모범 장학생은 개인 신청이 불가하며 학교장의 추천으로 선발할 예정이다.
장학금액은 초등학생 30만원, 중학교 50만원, 고등학교 80만원, 대학생 최대 150만원까지 지급하며 공고일 현재 서구에 1년 이상 주소지를 둔 구민 또는 그 자녀일 때 신청이 가능하다.
신청 기간은 오는 24일까지며 4월 중 장학생 선발 심의위원회를 거쳐 대상자를 결정하고 5월 중 장학금 수여식을 개최하여 장학증서와 장학금을 전달할 계획이다.
