【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=꽤 규모가 있는 지역 하도급 공사가 대구지역 업체에게 기회가 제공되면서 오랜만에 업계에 화색이 돌고 있다.
대구시는 최근 코오롱글로벌(주)과 협의 하에 ‘상화로 입체화 사업’에 계획된 826억 원 상당의 하도급 공사를 100% 지역 업체가 참여할 수있도록 했다고 밝혔다.
해당 사업은 상습 정체 구역인 달서구 유천동에서 상인동을 잇는 총연장 3천66미터 지하터널로 연결하는 것으로, 상화로 입체화 사업 주관사인 코오롱글로벌(주)은 30일 대구시를 방문해 기존의 방침을 뒤지어 하도급 공사 100%를 지역 업체에 돌려주기로 했다.

기존에는 전국업체를 대상으로 입찰을 진행할 예정이었다. 입찰 자격란에는 대구지역 업체에 한정한다는 내용이 명시됐다.
코오롱의 이같은 방침은 지난 2021년 6월에 대구시와 협약한 하도급 공사금액 90% 이상 지역업체 참여에 대한 확약 차원으로 알려졌다.
대구시와 코오롱글로벌(주)은 “이번 결정이 건설경기 침체로 어려움에 빠진 지역건설산업 활성화를 위한 소중한 마중물이 되기를 기대한다”고 밝혔다.
