12일 국민의힘 대구시당에 따르면 이날 오후3시 대구시당 회의실에서 김효린 중구의원 징계에 대한 제2차 윤리위원회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이날 윤리위원회의는 김효린 중구의원이 지난 2월 15일 중구청 산하 중구도심재생문화재단과 다음날 2월 16일 중구 성내3동 행정복지센터 등에 사전 예고없이 방문하여 서류를 열람하고 무단 반출한 사건에 대해 징계 여부를 의결하기 위해 열렸다.

회의 결과 윤리위원회 규정 제20조에 의거해 당원권 정지 6개월의 징계를 의결한 것으로 알려진다.

국민의힘 대구시당 윤리위원회는"김효린 중구의원의 공무원 갑질 의혹에 대해 사실관계에서 다툼의 여지가 있으나 선출직 공인으로서 처신에 신중치 못한 점, 우리 당 소속 지방의원으로 책무를 다하지 못해 당의 위신을 훼손하였다고 판단되는 점을 고려해 향후 또 다시 이러한 일이 발생하지 않도록 자숙의 의미로 삼도록 징계를 결정했다"고 밝혔다.
