22일 오전 대구 남구 대구아트파크에서 개최된 대구·경북 언론인 모임 아시아포럼21(이사장 변태석)에 참석한 천하람 최고위원은 “의석 예상을 교만해보이지 않으면서 말씀드리기가 어렵다”며 이 같이 밝혔다.

그는 개혁신당이 “경북의 일부 지역구는 잘 모르겠지만 최소한 대구에는 전 지역구 공천을 할 인물이 이미 확보되어 있다”며 “심지어는 제가 나오지 않더라도 전 지역 공천 가능하다”고 말했다.

이어 자신의 대구 출마설에 대해 “순천에서 정치를 한다는 것을 정치적 자산의 근간으로 삼아왔고 도전에 의미있는 성적표를 받아보고싶다는 생각도 당연히 가지고 있다”며 “개인적으로는 순천에서 출마하는 것을 최우선적으로 고려하고 있다”고 설명했다.

그러면서도 “개혁신당 입장에서 먄약 앵커 역할을 할 좋은 후보들이 많이 확보가 됐다면 클러스터를 좀 짜고 싶을 것”이라며 “현실적인 필요나 고려가 전혀 없다고는 말씀 못 드리겠다. 그래서 저도 전략적인 유연성을 다소 열어놓았다”며 여지를 남겼다.
