신라 헌덕왕 때 창건된 대견사(당시 보당암)는 조선시대 임진왜란 시 전소되어 중창되었다가 일제강점기에 대마도의 기를 누른다는 명목으로 강제 폐사되었다. 이후 민족의 역사를 바로 세우고자 달성군이 복원을 추진해 2014년 3월 1일 대견사 중창이 완료됐다.

기념음악회 ‘가을소리’는 영남국악관현악단의 라이브 연주와 함께 약 90분간 민요, 한국무용, 사물놀이패 등 가을날 산사의 분위기와 어우러지는 국악을 바탕으로 다채로운 무대를 선사할 예정으로 국악인 박애리, 가수 정미애 등이 출연한다.

최재훈 달성군수는 “이번 행사는 대견사 중창을 기념하는 기념비적인 행사임과 더불어 지역민과 관광객이 함께 달성군의 문화를 향유할 수 있는 가을 음악회다. ‘가을소리’를 통해 가을의 비슬산과 우리 소리의 정취를 가득 담아가시길 바란다”라고 말했다.

The Dalseong Cultural Foundation (Chairman Choi Jae-hoon) will hold the ‘Autumn Sound’ concert to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the reconstruction of Daegeunsa Temple at 4 PM on the 12th at the public parking lot of Bisulsan Natural Recreation Forest.

Daegeunsa Temple (formerly Bodangam) was founded during the reign of King Heondeok of Silla. It was rebuilt after being completely destroyed during the Imjin War of the Joseon Dynasty, but was forcibly closed during the Japanese colonial period under the pretext of suppressing the energy of Tsushima Island. Afterwards, Dalseong County promoted restoration in order to set the history of the nation straight, and the reconstruction of Daegeunsa Temple was completed on March 1, 2014.

The commemorative concert, ‘Autumn Sounds’, will feature a live performance by the Yeongnam Traditional Music Orchestra, along with folk songs, Korean dance, and a Samulnori band for about 90 minutes, and will feature a variety of performances based on traditional Korean music that blends in with the atmosphere of a mountain temple on an autumn day. Appearances include Korean musician Park Ae-ri and singer Jeong Mi-ae.

Choi Jae-hoon, the mayor of Dalseong-gun, said, “This event is a monumental event commemorating the reconstruction of Daegeunsa Temple, and it is also an autumn concert where local residents and tourists can enjoy Dalseong-gun’s culture together. I hope that you will fully experience the autumn atmosphere of Mt. Bisul and our sounds through ‘Autumn Sounds’.”
