【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=달성군(군수 최재훈)은 8일, 연일 이어지는 폭염 속에 노인·장애인·아동 등 폭염 취약계층을 보호하기 위한 ‘2025년 취약계층 보호 종합 폭염대책’을 수립하고 본격적인 대응에 나섰다고 밝혔다.

이번 대책은 △냉방비 지원 △시설 안전점검 △응급 상황 대응 시스템 구축 등 맞춤형 보호 조치 강화에 중점을 두고 추진된다.

군은 혹서기 전부터 관내 노인의료복지시설 37개소와 노인주거복지시설 1개소를 포함해 총 79개 노인시설을 대상으로 폭염 및 풍수해 대비 안전점검을 실시 중이다. 또한, 관내 경로당 전부를 무더위 쉼터로 지정하고 7~8월 두 달간 냉방비를 지원할 예정이다.

특히 독거노인을 위한 보호 체계도 강화된다. 노인맞춤돌봄서비스 생활지원사에게 통신비를 지원해 안부 확인을 수행하고 있으며, ICT(정보통신기술) 기반 응급안전안심서비스를 통해 신체 활동 감지 및 위기 대응 체계를 운영 중이다.

장애인과 아동을 위한 대책도 병행 추진된다. 관내 지역아동센터 36개소와 다함께돌봄센터에 냉방비가 지원되며, 장애인복지시설 15개소에 대한 하절기 안전점검도 이번 주 마무리된다. 이달 중에는 장애인 주간보호시설 3개소에 보양식을 지원하는 온열질환 예방사업도 실시된다.

복지 사각지대 해소를 위한 지원도 눈에 띈다. 독거가구 등 고위험 계층에는 건강 음료 배달, 반찬 지원, AI 자동안부전화 등 서비스를 통해 정기적인 안부 확인과 폭염 시 행동요령 안내가 함께 이뤄지고 있다.

또한 군은 대구지방기상청과 협력해 폭염 예보 정보 문자 서비스를 시범 운영 중이며, 읍·면 지역사회보장협의체 등 인적 자원을 활용한 안부 확인 체계도 지속 강화할 계획이다.

최재훈 군수는 “기후변화로 매년 폭염 일수가 늘고 있는 상황에서, 특히 취약계층이 건강하고 안전한 여름을 날 수 있도록 선제적이고 촘촘한 보호대책 마련에 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
