【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구 달성군(군수 최재훈)은 통계청 주관‘2024년 통계업무 진흥유공’ 우수기관으로 선정돼 국무총리 표창을 수상했다고 7일 밝혔다.

이번 포상은 2024년 통계청에서 주관한 전국사업체조사, 광업·제조업조사 등 전국 단위 경제조사를 성공적으로 수행한 기관에 수여되는 상이다.

달성군은 통계조사 부문에서 탁월한 수행 공헌도를 인정받아 ‘2024년 통계업무 진흥유공’ 우수기관으로 선정되는 영예를 안았다.

군은 전국 지자체를 대상으로 실시한 평가에서 자체 실시계획 수립, 조사요원 채용 및 관리, 실사 지도, 조사 홍보 등 통계조사를 수행하는 데 있어 지자체의 주도성을 평가하는 전 분야에서 우수한 성적을 거뒀다.

특히, 대구시 절반에 이르는 달성군의 지역적, 지리적 어려움을 극복하고 30,000여 사업체에 대한 신뢰성 있는 조사를 위해 지역 실정에 맞는 체계적인 계획을 수립해 높이 평가받았다.

또, 조사사실을 홈페이지나 소식지에 게재하고, 이를 알리기 위해 현수막과 가로배너를 제작하는 등 주민밀착형 홍보를 시행한 점, 조사부터 집계분석에 이르는 전 과정을 직원과 조사원들이 적극적으로 참여한 점은 타 기관의 모범이 되었다는 평가를 받았다.

최재훈 달성군수는 “이번 수상은 군민과 함께 이룬 성과로, 앞으로도 신뢰할 수 있는 통계자료 제공과 지역 발전을 위한 통계 데이터를 구축하는 데 최선을 다하겠다”며

“통계조사는 국가 발전을 위한 정책 수립의 기초자료로 활용되는 만큼 조사의 신뢰성과 정확성이 중요하다. 올해 실시되는 5년 주기의 인구주택총조사 및 농림어업총조사에서도 뛰어난 성과를 올릴 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 덧붙였다.
