15일 달성군에 따르면 (사)대한파크골프협회는 지난 7월부터 현장심사와 함께 파크골프장의 시설 및 설치물 기준에 대한 40여 개 항목을 점검하고 보완절차를 거친 끝에 ‘다사 세천 파크골프장’을 공인구장으로 최종 결정했다.

다사 세천 파크골프장은 금호강변에 위치한 전체 36홀 규모(부지면적 52,000㎡) 시설로 휴게실, 화장실 등 각종 편의시설이 설치되어 있다. 주변엔 농구장, 축구장 등 다양한 체육시설과 자전거도로, 산책로도 함께 조성되어 있어 파크골프 외에도 즐길거리가 한가득이다. 또, 지하철 2호선 다사역에서 도보 15분 정도의 거리에 위치하고 있어 접근도 용이하다.

금호강과 궁산을 끼고 있는 이곳은 자연경관까지 아름다워 찾아오는 이용객들이 많다. 편리함부터 아름다움까지 갖춘 다사 세천 파크골프장은 연간 이용객이 약 11만 명, 하루 최대 이용객이 500여 명에 달하며, 이번 공인구장 인증 획득으로 전국 규모 파크골프 대회 개최도 가능해져 이용객들이 더욱 늘어날 것으로 보인다.

달성군은 늘어나는 파크골프 수요에 대응하기 위해 권역별로 파크골프장 신규 조성 등 확충에 노력하고 있다. 올해 옥포 파크골프장과 현풍 원오 파크골프장이 완공될 예정이며, 향후 논공 위천 파크골프장에 36홀을 추가로 조성하는 것도 계획 중이다. 완공 시 논공 위천 파크골프장은 총 72홀 규모의 구장으로 변화할 예정이다.

또한, 기존 18홀 규모인 구지 평촌 파크골프장을 27홀로 확장하려고 하며, 18홀 규모의 하빈 파크골프장과 구지 오설리 파크골프장을 신규로 조성하기 위해 준비 중에 있다고 한다.

최재훈 달성군수는 “대구에서 가장 많은 구장을 보유하고 있는 만큼 달성군 파크골프장에 대한 이용객들의 기대감 또한 크다. 향후 조성되는 신규 파크골프장뿐 아니라 기존 파크골프장 시설에 대한 질적 향상을 통해 늘어나는 파크골프장 이용객들의 기대감을 충족시킬 수 있도록 하겠다”고 전했다.
