30일 달성군에 따르면 자체감사활동 평가는 중앙행정기관, 지방자치단체 및 공공기관 등 677개 기관을 대상으로 자체감사기구 운영의 적정성 제고와 내부통제제도 내실화를 도모하기 위해 감사원이 매년 실시한다.

평가를 통해 각 기관의 자체감사활동을 심사하고, 기관 유형별 가장 우수한 자체감사기구를 선정해 표창을 수여한다.

달성군은 자체감사기구 지원에 대한 관심과 의지, 자체감사기구의 구성과 인력 수준, 자체감사활동 성과 등 전반적인 심사항목에서 최고 점수를 획득하며 2년 연속 전국 군 단위 기초자치단체 중 유일한 최우수기관으로 선정됐다.

최재훈 달성군수는 “자체감사활동 평가에서 2년 연속 최고등급을 달성한 것은 공직자 모두가 자율적인 내부통제를 기반으로 기본과 원칙을 준수하며 열심히 노력한 결과다. 앞으로도 기관 차원의 내부통제 실행력을 강화하고, 소통과 예방 중심의 감사활동을 적극 추진하여 군민이 신뢰하는 달성군이 되도록 하겠다”고 말했다.
