【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=한국교육학술정보원(원장 정제영, 이하 KERIS)은 21일부터 독서 문화 확산을 위한 ‘함께 읽고 싶은 책 한 권’ 독서 챌린지를 진행한다고 밝혔다.

이 챌린지는 소셜미디어(SNS)를 활용하여 자신이 추천하고 싶은 책을 소개하거나, 추천받은 책을 읽은 후 소감을 공유하고 다음 참가자를 지목하는 방식으로 전개된다.

KERIS는 이번 챌린지가 학생, 교사, 학부모 등 교육 공동체가 독서를 매개로 소통하고, 지식을 나눌 수 있는 기회가 되기를 기대하고 있다.

이번 챌린지에는 KERIS와 업무협약을 체결한 광운학원, 대구교육대학교, 이화여자대학교, 한성대학교가 함께 참여할 예정이며, KERIS는 이들 기관과 협력해 기한 없이 지속적인 독서 문화 확산을 도모할 계획이다.

정제영 원장은 “디지털 전환 시기인 지금, 창의적이고 융합적인 역량이 강조되고 있으며, 이를 위해 독서의 중요성은 그 어느 때보다 강조될 필요가 있다”며 “이번 챌린지가 독서 문화를 확산시키는 계기가 되기를 바란다”고 전했다.

Korea Education and Research Information Service to Hold ‘One Book We Want to Read Together’ Challenge

The Korea Education and Research Information Service (President Jeong Je-young, hereinafter referred to as KERIS) announced on the 21st that it will hold the ‘One Book We Want to Read Together’ reading challenge to spread reading culture.

This challenge will be held by introducing a book you would like to recommend through social media (SNS), sharing your thoughts after reading the recommended book, and nominating the next participant.

KERIS hopes that this challenge will be an opportunity for the educational community, including students, teachers, and parents, to communicate and share knowledge through reading.

Kwangwoon Academy, Daegu National University of Education, Ewha Womans University, and Hansung University, which have signed business agreements with KERIS, will participate in this challenge, and KERIS plans to cooperate with these institutions to continuously spread reading culture without a time limit.

President Jeong Je-yeong said, “In this era of digital transformation, creative and convergent capabilities are being emphasized, and for this purpose, the importance of reading needs to be emphasized more than ever,” adding, “I hope this challenge will serve as an opportunity to spread a reading culture.”
