이번 표창은 6월 9일 정부세종청사에서 열린 ‘기록의 날’ 기념식에서 수여됐으며, 행정안전부 국가기록원이 주관했다. 국가기록관리 유공 포상은 공공기록물의 체계적 관리와 기록문화 정착에 기여한 단체 및 개인에게 수여되는 상으로, 1999년부터 매년 시행되고 있다.

케리스는 교육행정정보시스템 ‘나이스(NEIS)’와 지방교육행·재정통합시스템 ‘K-에듀파인’의 구축·운영을 통해 교육 분야의 전자정부를 선도해왔다. 또한, 기관 기록물의 전자적 관리체계 구축을 위한 중장기 계획 수립, 기능분류체계 도입, 보존서고 환경 개선 등의 노력을 지속하며 공공기록 관리 수준 향상에 기여했다는 평가를 받았다.

정제영 케리스 원장은 “이번 수상은 교육 데이터의 체계적인 관리와 국민 대상 서비스 향상을 위한 케리스의 노력을 대외적으로 인정받은 것”이라며, “앞으로도 국가 교육데이터의 안전한 관리와 대국민 서비스 강화에 힘쓰겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편, 케리스는 디지털 전환 시대에 발맞춰 공공기록의 전자화와 데이터 기반 행정서비스 고도화를 위해 다양한 사업을 추진 중이다.

Korea Education and Research Information Service Receives Minister of Public Administration and Security Award for Merit in National Records Management

Korea Education and Research Information Service (President Jeong Je-young, hereinafter referred to as KERIS) received the Minister of Public Administration and Security Award for its contribution to the development of national records management.

This award was presented at the ‘Record Day’ ceremony held at the Sejong Government Complex on June 9, and was hosted by the National Archives of Korea. The National Records Management Award is given to organizations and individuals who have contributed to the systematic management of public records and the establishment of a records culture, and has been held annually since 1999.

KERIS has been leading the e-government in the education sector through the establishment and operation of the Education Administration Information System ‘NEIS’ and the Local Education Administration and Finance Integration System ‘K-Edufine’. In addition, it was evaluated as having contributed to the improvement of the level of public records management by continuously making efforts such as establishing a mid- to long-term plan for establishing an electronic management system for institutional records, introducing a functional classification system, and improving the environment of the preservation warehouse.

Director Jeong Je-yeong of Keris said, “This award is an external recognition of Keris’ efforts to systematically manage education data and improve services for the public,” and added, “We will continue to work to safely manage national education data and strengthen services for the public.” Meanwhile, Keris is promoting various projects to digitize public records and enhance data-based administrative services in line with the era of digital transformation.
