이번 캠페인은 대구동부경찰서(서장 장호식)와 어린이 교통안전 강화를 위한 업무 협약을 체결한 뒤 진행된 첫 합동 캠페인으로, 안전한 등굣길 문화 조성을 목표로 진행되었다.

캠페인에서는 어린이 교통사고를 예방하는 교통안전용품인 ‘옐로카드’를 학생들에게 전달했다. 옐로카드는 책가방에 부착하면 빛을 반사해 어린이 보행자의 발견 거리를 9배 증가시켜, 사고 예방에 큰 도움이 되는 제품이다.

케리스는 2019년부터 매년 대구 혁신도시 내 어린이 교통안전 캠페인을 지속적으로 추진해 왔으며, 올해도 숙천초등학교를 시작으로 두 번째 캠페인을 진행했다.

정제영 케리스 원장은 “공공기관으로서 어린이들이 안전한 환경에서 등하교할 수 있도록 교통안전 문화 조성에 최선을 다하겠다”며, “앞으로도 유관기관과 협력하여 어린이들의 안전을 위한 실질적인 노력을 지속적으로 이어 나가겠다”고 말했다.

Korea Education and Research Information Service Conducts Children’s Traffic Safety Campaign at Daegu Saeron Elementary School

On April 22, the Korea Education and Research Information Service (KERIS, Director Jeong Je-young) conducted a traffic safety campaign at Saeron Elementary School (Principal Seong Mi-young) located in Daegu Innovation City.

This campaign was the first joint campaign conducted after signing a business agreement with Daegu Dongbu Police Station (Chief Jang Ho-sik) to strengthen children’s traffic safety, and was conducted with the goal of creating a culture of safe commutes to school.

During the campaign, students were given ‘Yellow Cards’, a traffic safety product that prevents children’s traffic accidents.
