【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=한국교육학술정보원(원장 정제영, 이하 케리스)과 영남대학교 학부모정책연구소(소장 김병주, 이하 영남대 학부모정책연구소)는 3월 20일 학부모의 디지털 교육 정책 공감대 확산 및 인식 제고를 위한 업무 협약을 체결했다고 26일 밝혔다.

양 기관은 이번 협약을 통해 학부모 역량 강화를 위한 협력 체제를 구축하고, 학부모 정책 발전과 인식 확산을 위한 다양한 협력 사업을 추진할 예정이다. 구체적인 협력 내용은 학부모 대상 역량 강화 지원 프로그램 공동 개발 및 확산, 교육 환경 변화에 따른 학부모의 디지털 교육 공감대 및 인식 확산을 위한 세미나 및 포럼 공동 개최 등이다.

영남대 학부모정책연구소는 지난해 9월 교육부 학술연구지원사업에 선정되어, 학부모 정책 진단과 개선 방안 모색, 교육 주체로서의 학부모 역할 정립을 위한 정책 연구를 단계별로 수행할 예정이다.

디지털 교육 혁신을 선도하는 케리스는 1999년 창립 이후, 유아교육, 초·중등교육, 고등교육은 물론 학술, 정보보호, 교육 행정·재정, 데이터 기반 행정 지원 등 교육의 주요 분야에서 기술 발전에 따른 교육 환경 변화에 대응하기 위한 다양한 디지털 교육 관련 정책을 지원해왔다.

케리스 정제영 원장은 “변화하는 교육 환경에서 디지털 교육 관련 정책들이 성공적으로 실현되고 현장에 안착하기 위해서는 교육 주체로서 학부모들의 역할이 그 어느 때보다 중요한 시점”이라며, “영남대 학부모정책연구소와의 협력을 통해 학부모들과의 소통 기회를 지속적으로 확대하고, 궁극적으로 학부모들이 정책에 참여할 수 있는 기반을 마련하는 데 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 말했다.

Keris-Yeungnam University Parent Policy Research Institute, Join Hands to Strengthen Parents’ Digital Capacity

The Korea Education and Research Information Service (President Jeong Je-young, hereinafter referred to as Keris) and Yeungnam University Parent Policy Research Institute (Director Kim Byeong-ju, hereinafter referred to as Yeungnam University Parent Policy Research Institute) announced on the 26th that they signed a business agreement on March 20 to expand consensus and raise awareness of digital education policies for parents.

Through this agreement, the two organizations plan to establish a cooperative system for strengthening parental capacity and promote various cooperative projects for the development of parental policies and expansion of awareness. Specific cooperation contents include joint development and expansion of capacity strengthening support programs for parents, and joint hosting of seminars and forums for expanding consensus and awareness of digital education for parents in response to changes in the educational environment.

The Yeungnam University Parent Policy Research Institute was selected for the Ministry of Education’s academic research support project in September of last year, and will conduct policy research in stages to diagnose parental policies, seek improvement measures, and establish the role of parents as the main players in education.

Since its establishment in 1999, Keris, a leader in digital education innovation, has supported various digital education-related policies to respond to changes in the educational environment due to technological advancements in key areas of education, including early childhood education, elementary and secondary education, higher education, academics, information protection, educational administration and finance, and data-based administrative support.
