시는 4월 8일부터 공공기관 차량 2부제와 공영주차장 차량 5부제를 동시에 도입해 에너지 소비 절감과 대중교통 이용 활성화를 유도한다고 밝혔다.

먼저 공공기관 차량 2부제는 안동시청을 포함한 전 공공기관 소속 임직원 차량을 대상으로 적용된다. 차량 번호 끝자리에 따라 홀수 차량은 홀숫날, 짝수 차량은 짝숫날에만 운행이 가능하며, 시행 첫날인 8일에는 짝수 번호 차량만 출입이 허용된다.

공영주차장에는 요일별 차량 5부제가 적용된다. 수요일인 8일에는 차량 번호 끝자리가 3번과 8번인 차량의 주차장 이용이 제한되며, 월요일은 1·6번, 화요일은 2·7번, 목요일은 4·9번, 금요일은 5·0번 차량이 각각 제한 대상이다.

다만 장애인 차량과 긴급자동차, 임산부 및 미취학 아동 동승 차량 등 민생과 직결된 경우는 예외적으로 허용된다. 또한 전기차와 수소차 등 친환경 차량도 제한 대상에서 제외된다.

안동시 관계자는 “국제 유가 상승은 지역경제에도 큰 부담이 되고 있는 상황”이라며 “공공기관이 선도적으로 에너지 절약에 나서는 만큼 시민들의 적극적인 이해와 참여를 부탁드린다”고 말했다.
