포항TP는 그동안 중소벤처기업부 정책과 연계해 지역 내 스마트공장 보급과 확산을 지속적으로 추진해 왔으며, 올해부터는 인공지능과 데이터 기반 공정 혁신에 정책 역량을 집중해 제조기업의 디지털 전환을 가속화할 방침이다.

이번 사업은 총 세 가지 분야로 나뉘어 진행된다. 먼저 ‘경북형(포항) 스마트공장 구축 지원’은 기초 단계 스마트공장 도입을 지원하는 사업으로 최대 6천만 원까지 지원되며, 오는 4월 30일까지 신청할 수 있다. ‘제조 인공지능(AI) 특화 스마트공장 구축 지원’은 공정 최적화와 예측 유지보수 등 고도화를 목표로 하며, 최대 2억 원까지 지원되고 4월 20일까지 접수한다. 이와 함께 기존 시스템의 성능 개선과 운영 효율화를 위한 ‘제조 디지털전환(DX) 멘토단 활용 지원’은 최대 1,900만 원이 지원되며, 신청 마감일은 4월 30일이다.

참여를 희망하는 기업은 포항TP 홈페이지를 통해 지원 대상과 신청 자격 등 세부 내용을 확인한 뒤 신청하면 된다.

송경창 원장은 “이번 스마트공장 지원사업을 통해 지역 중소·중견 제조기업들이 생산성을 높이고 성공적인 디지털 전환을 이루길 기대한다”며 “앞으로도 인공지능과 데이터 기반 제조혁신 생태계 확산을 통해 지역 산업 경쟁력 강화에 힘쓰겠다”고 밝혔다.
