【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=(재)포항테크노파크(원장 배영호, 이하 포항TP)는 수소·연료전지·미래모빌리티 등 미래에너지 분야의 전문인재 양성과 산학협력 강화를 위해 대구대학교와 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 27일 밝혔다. 이번 협약은 경상북도 지역혁신중심 대학지원체계(RISE) 사업의 성공적 추진을 목표로 마련됐다.

협약식은 대구대학교 성산홀 대회의실에서 진행됐으며, 포항TP 배영호 원장과 신경종 에너지사업본부장, 대구대학교 박순진 총장, 장중혁 RISE사업단장, 정혜경·조성준 에너지배터리학과 교수 등 양 기관 관계자들이 참석했다.

이번 협약을 통해 양 기관은 ▲친환경 배터리소재·수소에너지·연료전지·미래모빌리티 분야의 전문인재 양성을 위한 교육 프로그램 공동 개발 및 운영 ▲공동 프로젝트 발굴과 기술정보 교류 ▲현장 맞춤형 실무교육 및 학점제 현장실습 확대 ▲산학 간 인적·물적 인프라 공유를 통한 지역 산업 발전 ▲전문인력의 지역 정주를 위한 공동 협력 등을 추진하기로 했다.

특히 포항TP는 이번 협약을 계기로 보유 중인 수소연료전지인증센터와 에너지산업 관련 연구 인프라를 대학의 현장실무 교육과 연계해 산학협력 기반의 실무형 인재양성 체계를 강화할 방침이다. 이를 통해 경북권 수소·에너지 산업 생태계 조성에 기여한다는 계획이다.

배영호 포항TP 원장은 “이번 협약은 대학과 혁신기관이 협력해 지역 산업 수요 중심의 인재를 체계적으로 육성하고, 미래 에너지 분야의 경쟁력 강화에 기여한다는 점에서 의미가 크다”며 “포항테크노파크는 앞으로도 수소·에너지·모빌리티 분야의 연구개발과 기업지원 역량을 확대해 ‘경북 RISE’의 성공 모델 구축에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

Pohang Technopark and Daegu University Join Forces to Cultivate Future Energy Talent

Pohang Technopark (President Bae Young-ho, hereinafter Pohang TP) announced on the 27th that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Daegu University to foster specialized talent in future energy fields such as hydrogen, fuel cells, and future mobility, and to strengthen industry-academia cooperation. This agreement aims to successfully implement the Gyeongsangbuk-do Regional Innovation-Oriented University Support System (RISE) project.

The signing ceremony was held in the Seongsan Hall conference room at Daegu University. Representatives from both organizations were in attendance, including Pohang TP President Bae Young-ho, Director of the Energy Business Division Shin Kyeong-jong, Daegu University President Park Soon-jin, RISE Project Director Jang Jung-hyuk, and Professors Jeong Hye-gyeong and Cho Seong-jun of the Department of Energy Battery Engineering.

Through this agreement, the two organizations will jointly develop and operate educational programs to cultivate professionals in the fields of eco-friendly battery materials, hydrogen energy, fuel cells, and future mobility; identify joint projects and exchange technical information; expand customized practical training and credit-based field training; foster regional industry development through the sharing of human and material infrastructure between industry and academia; and collaborate to attract professionals to the region.

In particular, Pohang Technology Partnership (TP) plans to leverage this agreement to strengthen its industry-academia collaboration-based, practical talent development system by linking its hydrogen fuel cell certification center and energy industry-related research infrastructure with university-level practical training. Through this, the organization aims to contribute to the creation of a hydrogen and energy industry ecosystem in the Gyeongbuk region.

Pohang Technopark Director Bae Young-ho said, “This agreement is significant in that it will allow universities and innovative organizations to collaborate to systematically cultivate talent centered on local industrial demand and contribute to strengthening competitiveness in the future energy sector.” He added, “Pohang Technopark will continue to expand its research and development and corporate support capabilities in the hydrogen, energy, and mobility sectors and do its best to build a successful model for ‘Gyeongbuk RISE.’”
