【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=포항테크노파크(원장 송경창, 이하 포항TP)가 산업위기 상황에 대응해 지역 철강 관련 기업의 금융 부담을 덜어주기 위한 ‘2026년 지역산업 위기대응 이차보전 지원사업’ 신청 접수를 진행하고 있다.

이번 사업은 산업통상자원부가 총괄하고 한국산업기술진흥원(KIAT)이 전담하는 금융지원 프로그램으로, 산업위기 선제대응지역으로 지정된 ▲전남 여수 ▲경북 포항 ▲충남 서산 ▲전남 광양 등 4개 지역을 대상으로 추진된다. 산업 여건 악화로 자금 운용에 어려움을 겪는 중소·중견기업에 대출 이자의 일부를 지원함으로써 경영 안정을 돕는 것이 목적이다.

포항TP는 포항지역 접수기관으로서 지역 내 신청 기업의 사업 접수와 상담을 맡아, 기업이 원활하게 지원 절차를 이행할 수 있도록 행정 전반을 체계적으로 지원할 계획이다. 지원 대상은 포항 관내 제1차 금속제조업(C24) 영위 기업 또는 해당 업종과 거래 관계에 있는 중소·중견기업이다.

지원 내용은 기업 운영 및 영업활동에 필요한 ▲운전자금(최대 3%) ▲시설자금(건물·부지 매입 제외, 중소기업 2%·중견기업 1.5%)에 대한 이자 지원이다. 기업당 최대 15억 원 한도 내에서 대출 이자를 지원한다.

Pohang Technology Park (TP) Easing Financial Burden on Steel Companies… Accepting Applications for ‘Secondary Support Project’

Pohang Technopark (President Song Kyung-chang, hereinafter Pohang TP) is accepting applications for the “2026 Regional Industry Crisis Response Secondary Support Project,” designed to ease the financial burden on local steel companies in response to the industrial crisis.

This project, a financial support program overseen by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and managed by the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT), will target four regions designated as preemptive industrial crisis response areas: Yeosu, South Jeolla Province; Pohang, North Gyeongsang Province; Seosan, South Chungcheong Province; and Gwangyang, South Jeolla Province. The goal is to support the management stability of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) facing financial difficulties due to deteriorating industrial conditions by subsidizing a portion of their loan interest.

As the Pohang regional application agency, Pohang TP will handle application and consultation for local companies. It will also provide systematic administrative support to ensure smooth implementation of the support process. Eligible applicants are companies operating in the primary metal manufacturing industry (C24) within the Pohang metropolitan area or small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with business relationships with these industries.

Support includes interest subsidies for ▲working capital (up to 3%) and ▲facility funds (excluding building and land purchases, 2% for SMEs and 1.5% for SMEs) necessary for business operations and sales. Loan interest subsidies are available up to KRW 1.5 billion per company.

Applications are accepted year-round until November 13th and can be submitted via email (2cha@ptp.or.kr).
