29일 인수위는 종합보고를 위해 기자회견을 개최한 가운데 공공부문의 사회적 책임을 강화하고 운영의 효율성 증진을 위해 4개의 지방공기업과 14개의 출자출연 기관을 10개로 통합하는 방안을 제시했다. 

이에 따라 ‘도시철도공사’와 ‘도시철도건설본부’를 통합해 ‘(가칭)대구교통공사’로 설립하고 ‘대구시설공단’과 ‘대구환경공단’을 통합해 ‘(가칭)대구공공시설관리공단’을 설립한다. 

또한 문화예술의 전반적인 분야를 종합적으로 지휘할 수 있는 컨트롤타워로서 ‘(가칭)대구문화예술진흥원’을 설립하고 ‘문화재단’, ‘관광재단’, ‘오페라하우스재단’을 통합하고, 시 산하 사업소인 ‘문화예술회관’, ‘콘서트하우스’, ‘대구미술관’, ‘방짜유기박물관’, ‘근대역사관’, ‘향토역사관’을 흡수해서 운영할 예정이다.
