영주시에 따르면 이날 세미나에는 박남서 영주시장, 하인성 경북테크노파크원장을 비롯한 기업, 연구소 등 관계자 등 80여 명이 참석한 가운데 자동차 경량화 시장의 최신 트렌드와 기술을 공유하고, 변화에 선제적으로 대응할 수 있는 다양한 주제의 연구발표가 진행됐다.

양일간 진행되는 이번 행사는 1일 차인 13일 자동차 산업의 용접과 접합기술, 친환경 자동차 핵심부품 개발 동향, 친환경 자동차 배터리 케이스 기술개발 동향, 최신 표면처리 기술 및 산업 적용 동향 등의 주제발표와 영주 첨단베어링 국가산업단지 조성사업 소개가 진행됐다.

이어 14일에는 경량소재융복합기술센터의 자동차 경량화에 필요한 복합소재 성형장비, 이종소재 용접·접합 장비의 견학과 기업지원 사례 발표가 이어질 예정이다.

박남서 영주시장은 “경량화는 미래형 자동차산업의 핵심 분야”라며 “경량소재 통합 기업지원 시스템을 구축해 기업과 영주시가 함께 성장할 수 있도록 최선의 노력을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
