21일, 중구에 따르면 올해로 4회째를 맞는 중앙로 빛축제는'빛으로 하나되는 행복도시 중구'를 타이틀로 구민과 중구를 찾아주시는 모든 분들이 한 해를 잘 마무리하고 다가오는 새해에는 행복하고 좋은 일들만 가득하기를 바라는 염원을 담아 중앙로 거리 곳곳을 환하게 밝힐 예정이다.
특히 올해는 반월당네거리부터 대구역네거리까지 이어지는 약 1.2km의 거리를 3개의 구간으로 나누어 각 구간마다 스토리를 넣어 특색있게 연출했다.
1구간은 젊음의 동성로를 표현하는‘활기찬 중구’, 2구간은 취업준비생과 직장인을 응원하는‘희망찬 중구’, 3구간은 위로와 희망의 메시지를 전달하는‘따뜻한 중구’를 표현해 코로나19로 지친 시민들을 응원하고 2023년 힘찬 재도약을 향해 희망을 심어주고자 노력했다.
류규하 중구청장은 “이번 빛축제가 열리는 중앙로가 연말연시 소중한 사람들과 함께 즐길수 있는 장소가 되길 바란다"며," 중앙로를 찾아주시는 분들에게 따뜻한 위로와 희망이 되길 바란다”고 밝혔다.
