기존 야간투어 코스는 영남대로에서 출발해 약령시한의약박물관과 계산예가를 거친다. 이어 3·1만세운동길과 동산선교사주택 등 역사적 명소들을 둘러본 뒤 서문야시장에서 마무리되는 일정으로 구성돼 있다.
새롭게 추가된 코스는 청라언덕관광센터를 시작점으로 한다. 주요 역사문화 명소들을 도보로 둘러본 뒤 동성로로 이동해 '동성로 놀장' 축제에 참여하는 방식으로, 총 2시간 동안 진행된다.
류규하 중구청장은 "이번 코스 확대를 통해 서문야시장은 물론 대구 최초의 관광특구인 동성로까지 아우르는 야간관광 콘텐츠를 강화하겠다"며 "도심 상권 활성화에도 기여할 것"이라고 밝혔다.
