【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 중구청이 오는 26일부터 27일까지 이틀간 오전 11시부터 오후 3시까지 옛 중앙파출소 앞 광장에서 ‘대구약령시 한방디저트 페스타’를 연다.

이번 행사는 국내에서 가장 오랜 역사를 가진 한약재 시장인 대구약령시의 한방 자원을 K-디저트 산업과 결합해, 지역만의 특별한 관광 콘텐츠로 키우기 위한 ‘한방 디저트 아카데미 사업’의 성과를 시민들에게 알리는 자리다.

중구청은 지난 9월 약령시 한방 특구 내 카페와 제과점 등 음식점을 대상으로 참가 업체를 모집해 9곳을 선정했다. 이후 정희선 숙명여대 교수, 정해진 한국전통식문화협회장, 정현아 대구한의대 교수 등 전문가들과 함께, 1대1 맞춤형 메뉴 개발과 레시피 교육을 진행했다.

또 참여 업체별로 디저트 포스터와 짧은 홍보 영상을 만들고, 업체 정보를 한눈에 볼 수 있는 ‘한방디저트 맛지도’도 제작하는 등 약령시만의 미식 관광자원 조성에 힘을 쏟았다.

행사 기간에는 참여 업체들이 한방디저트 전시와 시식 부스, 한방 퀴즈 레크리에이션, 영수증 경품 이벤트 등 다양한 프로그램을 선보일 예정이다.

아카데미에 참가한 9곳의 업체는 각 매장의 특색을 반영한 신메뉴 9종을 새로 개발했다. 약령카페는 인삼양갱, 바른청년은 연자찹쌀케이크, 산도맨션은 구기자크림후르츠산도, 잽엔헨리는 오향카페비엔나, 반월정은 오미쌍화차를 선보인다. 스테드는 모주깜빠뉴, 호두가는 총명호두, 로하이는 약령포카치아, 네쥬는 한방약과타르트를 통해 약령시의 한방 원료를 현대적인 감각으로 재해석한 새로운 맛을 제안한다.

류규하 중구청장은 “약령시의 360여 년 한방 유산에 K-디저트를 더해 새로운 미식 콘텐츠를 만든 이번 사업이 지역경제 활성화로 이어지길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 약령시 활성화를 위한 지원을 계속해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

In September, the Jung-gu District Office recruited participants from cafes, bakeries, and other restaurants within the Yakryeongsi Oriental Medicine Special Zone and selected nine. Following the event, experts including Professor Jeong Hee-sun of Sookmyung Women's University, President Jeong Hae-jin of the Korean Traditional Food Culture Association, and Professor Jeong Hyeon-ah of Daegu University of Oriental Medicine conducted one-on-one customized menu development and recipe training.

Furthermore, each participating business created a dessert poster and short promotional video, and a "Korean Medicine Dessert Taste Map" providing at-a-glance business information, contributing to the development of a culinary tourism resource unique to Yakryeongsi.

During the event, participating businesses will showcase a variety of programs, including Korean medicine dessert exhibitions and tasting booths, Korean medicine quizzes, and receipt giveaways.

The nine participating businesses have developed nine new menu items reflecting their unique flavors. Yakryeong Cafe will offer ginseng yanggaeng (sweet red bean jelly), Bareun Cheongnyeon will offer lotus seed glutinous rice cake, Sando Mansion will offer goji berry cream fruit sandwiches, Japp & Henry will offer Ohyang Cafe Vienna, and Banwoljeong will offer Omi Ssanghwacha (Korean herbal medicine tea). Stead will offer Moju Campagne, Hoduga will offer Cheongmyeong Walnut, Lohai will offer Yakryeong Focaccia, and Neju will offer Korean medicine tarts. These new flavors reinterpret the traditional Korean medicine ingredients of Yakryeongsi with a modern sensibility.

Jung-gu District Mayor Ryu Gyu-ha said, “I hope that this project, which adds K-dessert to the 360-year-old oriental medicine heritage of Yakryeongsi and creates new culinary content, will lead to revitalization of the local economy,” and added, “We will continue to provide support to revitalize Yakryeongsi in the future.”
