【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 중구 북성로기술예술융합소 모루에서 기획전시 ‘망치인의 브리꼴라주_HAMMER GRAPHY’가 열리고 있다. 이번 전시는 2026년 6월 30일까지 계속되며, 관람료는 무료다.

전시가 열리는 곳은 대구 중구 서성로16길 92-1에 위치한 북성로기술예술융합소 모루다. 북성로 공구상 골목 한가운데 자리 잡고 있어 지역의 특성을 고스란히 담은 공간으로 평가된다.

이번 전시는 ‘망치’를 주제로, 인류 문명의 오랜 도구이자 북성로 일대에서 흔히 볼 수 있는 물건을 새롭게 조명한다. 망치를 ‘두드림’이라는 기술적 시각에서 해석하며, 시간과 언어, 기술, 신체 감각 등 다양한 요소를 함께 풀어낸다.

전시장에는 드로잉과 그래픽 디자인 작품뿐 아니라 실제 오브제와 악기 등도 함께 전시된다. 망치가 문명의 전환에 어떤 역할을 했는지를 시각적·촉각적으로 보여주는 것이 특징이다.

기획 연작의 첫 장으로 선보이는 이번 전시는 북성로의 산업적 역사와 기술 감각을 예술적 언어로 확장하려는 시도다. 지역 기술 자산을 문화 콘텐츠로 재해석하는 데 초점을 맞췄다.

모루는 북성로 공구상이 밀집한 지역의 특색을 살린 복합문화공간이다. 기술 장인과 예술가의 협업, 기술 전승 등을 지원하는 거점 역할도 하고 있다. 1층에는 공구 공유 공간 ‘메이커스 팩토리’가, 상설 전시장 ‘장인의 방’과 2층 전시관 ‘메이드 인 북성로’도 함께 운영 중이다.

류규하 중구청장은 “주민들이 일상 속에서 자연스럽게 문화를 접하고 향유할 수 있도록 다양한 전시와 프로그램을 마련해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
