‘실내 마스크 착용 방역지침’에 따르면, 학교 통학, 수학여행, 현장 체험학습 등과 관련된 단체 버스 등 차량을 이용할 경우에는 마스크를 의무 착용해야 한다. 다만, 코로나19 의심증상자 및 고위험군, 확진자(의심증상자, 고위험군)와 접촉한 경우, 환기가 어려운 공간에서 다수가 밀집되어 있는 경우, 실내에서 비말 생성행위가 많은 경우(교실 내 합창 수업 등) 등 일부 상황에서는 실내 마스크 착용이 적극 권고된다.

대구교육청은 향후 자가진단 앱, 발열검사, 환기·소독 등의 내용을 포함한 새로운 학교 방역지침은 새학기 시작 전인 2월 중순에 추가로 안내하고, 2월 한 달 동안 학교의 코로나19 상황 등을 면밀히 모니터링하여 신학기 상황에 대응해 나갈 예정이다.
