【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=국립금오공과대학교(총장 곽호상)가 3일 ‘경북도민 행복대학 명예도민 박사과정 위탁기관(이하 명예도민 박사과정)’으로 선정되었다는 소식을 전했다.
2021년 학사과정, 2022년 석사과정이 신설되어 운영되고 있는 경북도민 행복대학은 올해 처음 명예도민 박사과정이 신설하고 운영에 나선다고 밝혔다.
금오공대 평생교육원(원장 김영형)은 올해 초 1단계 서류심사와 2단계 민간위탁 심사위원회 심사를 거쳐 사업 운영 기관으로 최종 선정되었으며 사업 운영 기간은 올해 12월 31일까지다.
명예도민 박사과정은 석사과정을 마친 학습자를 대상으로 연간 30주 과정이 운영되며 리더십교육, 명사특강, 지역학 등 특화과정을 통해 수준 높은 평생학습을 제공한다.
금오공대는 명예도민 박사과정의 비전을 ‘배우는 즐거움, 행복 경북’으로 정하고 지역 발전에 공헌할 수 있는 핵심인재를 양성한다는 계획을 전했다.
이를 위한 명예도민박사과정은 ▶지역 대학과 연계한 전문 교육과정 ▶지역 성장과 학습공동체 구축 ▶경북 발전을 위해 실천하는 핵심리더 양성 등을 주요방향으로 추진할 방침이다.
김영형 금오공대 평생교육원장은 “금오공대는 그동안 지역민의 학습역량 강화와 평생학습 체계 구축을 통해 학습공동체 문화를 조성하기 위해 노력해 왔다”며, “100세 시대를 맞아 앞으로도 수준 높은 평생교육을 통해 지역의 핵심리더를 양성하여 이들이 지역사회 발전에 기여할 수 있도록 할 것”이라고 말했다.
