【브레이크뉴스 성주】이성현 기자=성주군이 ‘함께하는 나눔, 지속 가능한 경북’이라는 슬로건으로 지난해 12월부터 올해 1월말까지 62일간 진행한 2023 나눔 캠페인이 당초 목표액을 초과한 총 3억9천2백만원을 모금하며 마무리됐다.

6일 성주군에 따르면 이번 캠페인은 성금과 물품지원의 손길이 줄을 이었으며, 특히 성주군 최초의 부자 아너 소사이어티 5, 6호가 탄생하는 경사가 생겨 ‘희망 2023 나눔 캠페인’의 나눔 온도 상승에 박차를 가했다.

또한 나눔봉사단에서 관내 어린이집(10개소)에 사랑의 돼지저금통을 나눠주어 원아들이 모은 기부금 전액을 기탁하고 아동들에게 기부정신 함양 및 나눔문화 동참의 계기를 마련했다는 평가를 받아 매년 이 행사를 추진하기로 어린이집과 협약했다.

특히, 김채원, 김도경 남매는 계묘년 새해 첫 기부자로 1년 동안 모은 돼지저금통과 고사리손으로 적은 손편지를 기부하기도 했는데 작년에 이어 2년째 기부하고 있는 남매의 돼지저금통은 지역사회 내 나눔 문화 확산에 큰 본보기가 되고 있다.

올해는 유독 지정기탁이 많았는데 부모님이 모두 돌아가시고 형제자매도 없이 혼자남아 대학원 진학을 망설이던 학생을 위해 개인기부자가 3백만원을 지정기탁하여 학업에 매진할 수 있도록 도와주었으며, 일일노동을 하던 가장이 갑작스러운 신장병 발병으로 입원을 하게 되어 생계가 막막해진 가정에 현금지정기탁도 이루어졌다. 

성주군은 연중내내 기부문화 확산을 위해 홍보 할 예정이며,후원자 발굴을 통해 경제적으로어려움을 겪는 가정과 1:1 매칭을 하여 지속적인 도움을 줘 살기좋은 지역사회를 만드는데 노력할 예정이다.

이병환 성주군수는 “베푸는 마음이 받는 마음보다 따뜻하다는 것을 몸소 실천해주신 많은 분들 덕분에 한파도 이길 수 있는 겨울이었다.”며 공동모금회 뿐만아니라 성주군에서 운영하는 고향사랑기부제나 성주군별고을장학회 등에도 많은 관심과 참여를 당부했다.
