16일 대구대학교는 농림축산식품부와 농림수산식품교육문화정보원의 ‘2023년 농업계학교 교육지원사업’에 선정되어 미래전문농업경영인 양성 교육프로그램을 운영한다고 밝혔다.
해당 사업은 농산업 분야 지속 성장을 위한 중장기적 미래농업인력 양성 및 농업계 학교 재학생의 농산업 분야 진출 기회를 확대하기 위한 것으로 대구대 과학생명융합대학(학장 박태호)의 원예학과, 동물자원학과, 산림자원학과, 화장품바이오학부 화장품제약전공 등 4개 학과(전공)이 참여한다.
사업단은 향후 2년간(2023~2024) 매년 1.1억 원의 정부지원금을 지원 받게 되며 재학생들을 대상으로 농산업 분야 진출 마인드 교육, 진로탐색 및 체험, 취업동아리 및 자격증 취득, 교내·외 현장실습, 취업실무, 산업체 협약 인력양성 교육, 도농교류 프로그램, 원예 가공 및 스마트팜 실습 등의 프로그램을 운영한다.
사업단장인 김영선 교수(원예학과)는 “이 사업을 통해 대구대 학생들이 농산업 분야에 진출하도록 적극 지도하고, 우리나라 농산업계를 이끌어 나갈 우수 인재로 육성하는 데 최선의 노력을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.
