【브레이크뉴스 】진예솔 기자=(사)대경ICT산업협회(이하 협회, 회장 박윤하)와 대구디지털혁신진흥원(원장 김유현)가 '국가 데이터 허브도시 대구 구상을 위한 제2회 정책세미나'를 개최했다.

지난 24일, 대구시청 산격청사 대강당에서 열린 이날 행사는 구윤철 前 국무조정실장(현 경북문화재단 대표이사)과 박윤하 협회장, 김유현 대구디지털혁신진흥원 원장, 정태옥 경북대 데이터 사이언스대학원 원장, 서경현 대구시 미래ICT 국장, 송영조 빅테이터 과장 등 대경ICT산업협회 회원사 CEO 및 대구시 공무원 등 약 80여 명의 관계자가 참석한 가운데 진행되었다. 

지난 3월에 이어 두 번째로 개최된 이번 정책 세미나는 글로벌 시대를 선도할 수 있는 디지털 경제의 핵심 중 하나인 ‘국가 데이터 허브도시 대구’를 위한 방향성 확립과 목표설정을 위한 다양한 논의가 진행됐다.

이날 구윤철 대표는 기조 연설에서 글로벌 선도경제의 일환인 데이터 허브도시를 위한 목표설정과 현실화를 위한 산업계, 학계, 지방정부의 역량 집중화를 제안했다. 

특히 “디지털 경제 도약을 위한 각종 산업분야의 데이터를 활용한 구체적 사업화를 통해 디지털 허브도시의 위상을 선점하는 것이 가장 중요하다.”고 강조하였으며 다양한 전문가 집단과 토론의 시간을 가졌다.

박윤하 협회장은 “‘국가 데이터 허브도시 대구’를 위해 ABB(인공지능, 빅데이터, 블록체인)산업을 지역 미래 성장 동력을 넘어 글로벌 진출의 초석이 되기 위해서는 대구중심 빅테이터 특구가 반드시 필요” 하다며 “이를 위해 현실적 사업화와 구체성을 위한 관련 준비를 철저히 하자”고 강조했다.

정태옥 원장도 “학계와 산업계, 대구시 등 전문가 집단으로 구성된 TF팀 구성과 대구데이터 재단 설립 등을 통해 구체적 실행동력과 형상을 만들어 가자” 고 역설했다.

민간 추진위원회의 한 관계자는 “단순한 지역 안분 차원이 아닌 민간주도의 모범적 사례로 [빅데이터 특구 대구]를 위해 향후 심도있는 논의를 통해 다양한 활동을 이어나갈 것” 이라 밝혔다. 

이밖에도, 협회 회원사 CEO인 ㈜레몬헬스케어 홍병진 대표이사, ㈜세중아이에스 설진현 대표이사, 대구시 서경현 미래ICT국장 등 질의 응답하는 시간도 가졌다.

한편, 대경ICT산업협회는 대구 경북권 3백여 IT/CT 기업들로 구성된 단체로 정보와 지식, 사업 교류의 활성화를 위한 체계적인 커뮤니티를 구성하고 지역과 국가 경제발전에 이바지하기 위해 지난 2011년 설립된 단체이다.

This policy seminar, which was held for the second time after last March, held various discussions to establish the direction and set goals for Daegu, one of the core of the digital economy that can lead the global era.

In his keynote speech on this day, CEO Yoon-cheol Koo proposed the concentration of capabilities of industries, academia, and local governments to set goals for a data hub city, which is part of the global leading economy, and realize it.

In particular, it was emphasized that “It is most important to preoccupy the status of a digital hub city through specific commercialization using data from various industries for a leap forward in the digital economy” and had discussions with various expert groups.

Park Yun-ha, president of the association, said, “For ‘Daegu, the national data hub city,’ the ABB (Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Blockchain) industry goes beyond a regional future growth engine and serves as a cornerstone for global expansion.” “To this end, let’s thoroughly prepare for realistic commercialization and specificity,” he emphasized.

Director Jeong Tae-ok also emphasized, “Let’s create a concrete driving force and shape through the formation of a TF team composed of experts from academia, industry, and Daegu City, and the establishment of the Daegu Data Foundation.”

An official from the private sector promotion committee said, “We will continue various activities through in-depth discussions in the future for [Big Data Special Zone Daegu] as a model example of private initiative rather than simple regional balance.”

In addition, there was a Q&A session with members of the association, CEO Byung-Jin Hong of Lemon Healthcare Co., Ltd., Jin-Hyeon Seol, CEO of Sejoong IS, and Gyeong-Hyun Seo, Director of Future ICT, Daegu City.

On the other hand, Daegyeong ICT Industry Association is an organization composed of 300 IT/CT companies in Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province.
