【브레이크뉴스 김천】진예솔 기자=국민의힘 송언석 국회의원(경북 김천)은 김천시가 산업통상자원부 주관 ‘친환경 경량소재 적용 미래차 부품산업 전환 생태계 기반구축’ 사업에 최종 선정되었다고 밝혔다.

‘친환경 경량소재 적용 미래차 부품산업 전환 생태계 기반구축’ 사업은 최근 강화되고 있는 국내외 환경규제 등에 대응하고, 해외수출 증대와 국내 자동차 산업의 경쟁력 확보를 위해 재활용‧경량소재를 미래차 부품에 적용하는 산업생태계 기반을 구축하는 사업이다.

김천시는 어모면 다남리 인근에 2028년까지 5년간 국비 150억 원을 포함한 총사업비 300억원이 투입해 사업 관련 인프라를 구축할 예정이다.

이에 따라 ▶미래차 부품 친환경 소재 전환지원 센터 구축 ▶소재 물성 평가 장비 및 신뢰성 시험 장비 12 종 구축 ▶재활용 소재 적용 부품 설계 및 해석 데이터 DB 구축 ▶신뢰성 확보를 위한 시험평가기준 확립 등을 추진하고 관련 기업체들의 기술개발 및 해외진출을 지원할 계획이다.

국회 예산결산특별위원회 간사로 활동한 송언석 의원은 이번 사업의 선정과 원활한 사업 추진을 위해 2024년 국비예산 10억 원을 확보 한 바 있다.

송 의원은 “이번 사업의 최종 선정으로 관련 기업들이 김천에 더욱 몰려들 것이며, 우리 김천은 미래차 부품산업의 중심도시로 한층 더 도약하게 될 것으로 기대한다”며 “이번 사업을 통해 김천에 위치한 자동차 부품기업들이 미래차 부품 관련 기술력을 더욱 고도화하고 나아가 해외시장에서도 뛰어난 경쟁력을 갖출 수 있도록 계속해서 챙겨나가겠다”고 말했다.
