4월 2일 실시되는 김천시장 재보궐 선거 사흘을 앞둔 지난 30일 오후 5시 김윤덕 사무총장은 지역주민들과 간담회를 가지고 김천 지역의 현안을 청취했다.

이어 오후 6시에는 김천 이마트 네거리에서 황태성 후보 지지유세에 나섰다.

김윤덕 사무총장은 “국민의힘 전임시장의 불법으로 치러지는 선거임에도 국민의힘은 김천시민의 마음은 안중에도 없이 또다시 여러 범죄 전력이 있는 후보를 공천했다”며 “황태성 후보는 누구보다 깨끗하고 김천을 살릴 준비가 됐다”며 지지를 호소했다.

또 “김천시민이 황태성 후보를 선택해 주신다면 민주당 중앙당이 모든 힘을 모아 황태성 후보가 제시한 공약은 물론 공공기관이전 시즌2 등 혁신도시 김천에 걸맞은 도시로 만들겠다”고 강조했다.
