【브레이크뉴스 대구 】이성현 기자= 대구경북인터넷기자협회(회장, 브레이크뉴스 대구경북 이성현 본부장, 이하 협회) 는 2024년을 빛낸 대구, 경북 지역의 기초자치단체장 가운데 2명을 지방행정 혁신리더상에, 3명은 지방행정 우수행정상에 선정했다.

먼저 혁신리더 부문에는 남다른 시각과 행정 감각으로 지방 발전의 축을 수놓은 경북 의성 김주수 군수와 대구 남구 조재구 구청장을 선정했다. 또, 지방행정 우수행정부문에는 경북 경주시 주낙영 시장과 경북 안동시 권기창 시장, 그리고 대구 북구 배광식 구청장을 선정해 17일  대구 엑스코에서 열린 대구경북인터넷기자협회 ‘2024정기총회 및 회징 이취임식’에서 시상했다.

대구경북인터넷기자협회는 그동안 매년 대구경북지역의 광역의원을 대상으로 우수 의원상을 시상해 왔으나, 올해부터는 기초자치단체장으로까지 확대해 시상 함으로써 지역민의 자긍심 고취 및 행정 공무원과 선출직 자치단체장의 사기를 높이는 데 기여하고자 마련했다. 

평가는 주민 소통 및 참여, 리더십 및 위기대응 능력, 지속 가능성 및 환경 관리 등에 대한 정량적. 정성적 평가로 결정됐다.

혁신리더 부문 김주수 의성군수는 "이렇게 뜻깊은 상을 수상하게 되어 큰 영광이다. 이번 수상은 저 혼자만의 성과가 아니라, 의성군 모든 직원들과 주민들의 노력 덕분이다. 앞으로도 주민들과의 소통을 더욱 강화하고, 지속 가능한 발전을 위해 최선을 다하겠다“며 "위기 상황에서도 흔들림 없는 리더십으로 의성군을 더욱 발전시키겠다"고 밝혔다. 이어 "우리 의성군은 항상 변화와 혁신을 추구하며, 주민 여러분과 함께 걸어가는 길을 선택했다. 이 상은 그 여정의 또 다른 출발점이 될 것”이라고 말했다. 

조재구 남구청장은 “대구경북인터넷기자님들이 주시는 상이라 더욱 뜻깊게 생각하며, 앞으로도 구민들의 목소리에 더욱 귀 기울여 살기 좋은 명품 남구를 만들기 위해 최선을 다하도록 하겠다”라고 밝혔다.

우수행정 부문 수상자인 주낙영 경주시장은 “올 한해 경주시가 역점적으로 추진한 사업들이 대구경북인터넷기자협회가 주관하는 수상에 선정돼 영광스럽게 생각한다”라며 “경주발전을 위해 더욱 열심히 뛰라는 주마가편의 채찍으로 알고 소임 완수에 더욱 최선을 다 하겠다”고 수상 소감을 밝혔다. 

배광식 북구청장은 "현재 국가 상황이 온전히 기쁨만 누리고, 축하를 마음껏 할 수 없는 위기 상황이라 무거운 마음도 피할 수 없다." 며 "어려운 정치적 혼란에도 우리 북구 주민들과 함께 대한민국의 저력으로 위기를 극복하고 활기찬 일상으로의 회귀할 수 있으리라 믿고, 늘 지역사회의 안녕과 평화에 기여할 수 있는 단체장으로 서의 역할에 최선을 다할 것을 약속한다." 고 소감을 밝혔다.

The Daegu-Gyeongbuk Internet Reporters Association has been awarding the Excellent Member Award to local council members in the Daegu-Gyeongbuk region every year, but this year, it has expanded the award to include heads of local autonomous bodies, thereby contributing to boosting the pride of local residents and raising the morale of administrative officials and elected local autonomous bodies.

The evaluation was determined through quantitative and qualitative evaluations of resident communication and participation, leadership and crisis response capabilities, sustainability, and environmental management.

In the Innovation Leader category, Uiseong County Mayor Kim Ju-soo said, “It is a great honor to receive such a meaningful award. This award is not my own achievement, but thanks to the efforts of all Uiseong County employees and residents. I will continue to strengthen communication with residents and do my best for sustainable development,” and added, “I will further develop Uiseong County with unwavering leadership even in times of crisis.” He continued, “Our Uiseong County has always pursued change and innovation, and has chosen to walk the path together with our residents. This award will be another starting point for that journey.”

Mayor Cho Jae-gu of Nam-gu said, “I think this award is even more meaningful because it is given by Daegu-Gyeongbuk Internet Reporters, and I will continue to do my best to make Nam-gu a prestigious place to live by listening to the voices of the residents.”

Mayor Joo Nak-young of Gyeongju, who received the award for excellent administration, said, “I am honored that the projects that Gyeongju City has focused on this year have been selected for the award hosted by the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Internet Reporters Association.” He added, “I will do my best to fulfill my duty by thinking of this as a whip from the governor to work harder for the development of Gyeongju.”

Mayor Bae Gwang-sik of Buk-gu said, “The current national situation is a crisis where we cannot fully enjoy joy and celebration, so I cannot avoid feeling heavy-hearted.” He added, “Despite the difficult political turmoil, I believe that we can overcome the crisis with the strength of the Republic of Korea together with the residents of Buk-gu and return to a vibrant daily life, and I promise to always do my best as a head of an organization that can contribute to the well-being and peace of the local community.”
