【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=경주시의회(의장 이동협)는 13일 개회를 시작으로 9일간의 제288회 경주시의회 임시회를 일정에 돌입했다.

제1차 본회의의 시작에 앞서 최재필 의원은 ‘전통시장 화재 예방’에 대해, 이강희 의원은 ‘동학정신 계승 및 문화관광자원 활용’에 대해, 김동해 의원은 ‘경주시 상징물에 대한 홍보 필요성’을 주제로 각각 5분 자유발언을 실시했다.

이어진 제1차 본회의는 제288회 임시회 회기결정의 건, 2025년도 시정에 관한 보고, 「회의록 서명의원 선임의 건 순서로 진행됐다.

14일부터 20일까지의 휴회기간 중 각 위원회에서는 2025년도 주요업무보고 및 2024년도 공모사업 추진현황 보고를 비롯하여 4건의 보고가 실시되며, 경주시청 어린이집(변경) 민간위탁 동의안 등 4건의 동의안, 서면 도리 은행나무 숲 부지 매입 등 3건의 공유재산 관리계획 변경안과 8건의 조례안에 대한 심사가 이뤄진다.

상정된 8건의 조례안은 모두 의원발의안으로 경주시 창의 인성 교육 지원에 관한 조례안·경주시 로컬크리에이터 육성 및 지원에 관한 조례안(한순희 의원 대표 발의), 경주시 폭염·한파 피해 예방 및 지원 조례안(최영기 의원 대표 발의), 경주시 갑질 행위 근절 및 피해자 보호 조례안(이락우 의원 대표 발의), 경주시 관광진흥 조례 일부개정조례안(김항규 의원 대표 발의), 경주시 도시계획 조례 일부개정조례안(최재필 의원 대표 발의), 경주시 어촌·어항재생사업 시설물 관리 및 운영 조례안(오상도 의원 대표 발의) 등이다.

이동협 경주시의회 의장은 개회사를 통해 “2025 APEC 정상회의의 성공적 개최를 위해 모든 의정 역량을 결집하겠으며, 각종 사업의 원활한 추진과 안심하고 생활할 수 있는 환경을 만들기 위한 노력을 다하겠다.”고 밝힘으로써 2025년 한 해의 의정활동 방향에 대해 설명했다.

한편 제288회 임시회는 21일 제2차 본회의에서 조례안 및 일반안건을 심의하는 것을 끝으로 마무리될 예정이다.

All eight proposed ordinances are proposed by members of the National Assembly, including the Ordinance on Support for Creative Character Education in Gyeongju City, Ordinance on Fostering and Supporting Local Creators in Gyeongju City (proposed by Representative Han Sun-hee), Ordinance on Prevention and Support for Damage from Heat Waves and Cold Waves in Gyeongju City (proposed by Representative Choi Yeong-gi), Ordinance on Eradication of Bullying in Gyeongju City and Protection of Victims (proposed by Representative Lee Rak-woo), Ordinance on Partial Amendment to Gyeongju City Tourism Promotion Ordinance (proposed by Representative Kim Hang-gyu), Ordinance on Partial Amendment to Gyeongju City Urban Planning Ordinance (proposed by Representative Choi Jae-pil), and Ordinance on Management and Operation of Facilities for Gyeongju City Fishing Village and Fishing Port Regeneration Project (proposed by Representative Oh Sang-do). In his opening remarks, Gyeongju City Council Chairman Lee Dong-hyeop stated, “We will gather all of our legislative capabilities to successfully host the 2025 APEC Summit, and we will do our best to smoothly promote various projects and create an environment where we can live with peace of mind.” He explained the direction of legislative activities for 2025.

Meanwhile, the 288th extraordinary session is scheduled to conclude on the 21st with the deliberation of ordinances and general agenda items at the 2nd plenary session.
