【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=경주시의회(의장 이동협)는 11일 본회의장에서 제296회 임시회 제1차 본회의를 열고 8일간의 의사일정에 들어갔다.

이날 본회의에 앞서 한순희 의원은 ‘동천동 중심 북천권역의 미래 과제’를 주제로, 이강희 의원은 ‘경주 에너지 주권도시 선언 및 행정 패러다임 전환 촉구’를 주제로 각각 5분 자유발언을 통해 시정 발전을 위한 정책 제언을 했다.

이어 열린 제1차 본회의에서는 제296회 임시회 회기결정의 건과 회의록 서명의원 선임의 건을 심의·의결했다.

12일부터 17일까지 이어지는 휴회 기간에는 각 상임위원회별로 조례안 5건, 동의안 3건, 의견청취안 2건, 공유재산 관리계획 변경안 2건, 보고 2건 등 총 14건의 안건에 대해 심사와 청취가 진행될 예정이다.

이번 임시회에는 의원 발의 조례안 4건도 상정됐다. 주요 조례안은 ▲이경희 의원이 대표발의한 경주시 산업재해 예방 및 노동안전보건 지원 조례안 ▲정성룡 의원 대표발의 경주시 의사상자 등 예우 및 지원에 관한 조례안 ▲한순희 의원 대표발의 경주시 노인 일자리 창출 및 지원에 관한 조례안 ▲이락우 의원 대표발의 경주시 공동주택 층간소음 방지 조례안 등이다.

이동협 의장은 개회사에서 “3월은 계획된 주요 시책과 사업을 본격적으로 추진하는 중요한 시기”라며 “시민 생활 불편 해소와 지역경제 활력 제고를 위해 집행부의 신속하고 가시적인 업무 추진이 필요하다”고 강조했다. 이어 “동료 의원들도 시정 전반을 면밀히 살펴 건설적인 대안과 방향을 제시해 달라”고 당부했다.

한편 제296회 임시회는 오는 18일 제2차 본회의를 끝으로 8일간의 일정을 마무리할 예정이다.

Gyeongju City Council Convenes 296th Extraordinary Session… 14 Agenda Items Including Ordinances

The Gyeongju City Council (Chairman Lee Dong-hyeop) held the first plenary session of its 296th Extraordinary Session on the 11th in its main conference hall, commencing an eight-day agenda.

Key proposals include: ▲An Ordinance on the Prevention of Industrial Accidents and Support for Occupational Safety and Health in Gyeongju City, sponsored by Councilmember Lee Kyung-hee; ▲An Ordinance on the Care and Support of Wounded Citizens in Gyeongju City, sponsored by Councilmember Jeong Seong-ryong; ▲An Ordinance on the Creation and Support of Jobs for Senior Citizens in Gyeongju City, sponsored by Councilmember Han Sun-hee; ▲An Ordinance on the Prevention of Inter-Floor Noise in Apartment Complexes in Gyeongju City, sponsored by Councilmember Lee Rak-woo.

In his opening remarks, Chairman Lee Dong-hyeop emphasized, "March is a critical time to fully implement planned major policies and projects. The executive branch must swiftly and tangibly implement these measures to alleviate inconveniences in citizens' lives and revitalize the local economy." He then urged, "I urge my fellow council members to closely examine the overall city administration and present constructive alternatives and directions."

Meanwhile, the 296th extraordinary session is scheduled to conclude its eight-day schedule with the second plenary session on the 18th.
