【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 동구청이 주최한 '제2회 오미락(五味樂) 페스티벌'이 지난 13일부터 이틀간 동촌유원지 해맞이다리 광장에서 열려 성황리에 막을 내렸다. 하지만 축제 종료 후 쓰레기와 어지럽혀진 현장 정리 문제로 시민들의 눈살을 찌푸리게 했다.
이번 축제는 동구 대표 먹거리와 체험 프로그램을 선보이며 많은 시민의 발길을 모았다. 그러나 행사 직후 광장 곳곳에 쓰레기가 방치되면서 불쾌감을 남겼다.
부스 설치에 사용된 케이블타이, 행사 중 나눠준 바람 빠진 풍선들이 행사가 끝난 월요일 저녁까지도 정리되지 않은 것이 확인됐다.
현장을 찾은 한 시민은 “아이와 함께 즐거운 시간을 보냈는데, 다음날 산책 중 쓰레기로 뒤덮인 광장을 보고 기분이 상했다”며 “축제가 끝난 뒤 아무런 관리가 이뤄지지 않은 것 같아 실망스럽다”고 말했다.
동구청은 이번 행사를 통해 지역 음식문화를 널리 알리고 관광 활성화를 도모하고자 했으나, 사후 정비가 미흡하면서 긍정적인 평가에 찬물을 끼얹었다.
지역 축제가 단순한 흥행을 넘어 지속 가능성을 갖추기 위해서는 다채로운 콘텐츠뿐 아니라 행사 이후의 마무리 관리 또한 철저히 이뤄져야 한다는 지적이 나오고 있다.
